Question 1

What is DeepClad?

Accepted Answer

A free career resilience explorer covering 102 careers across 11 sectors, with scores, pathways, pivots and guides.

Question 2

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything works without signing up, and nothing you search is stored by us.

Question 3

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are no paid tiers, paywalls or adverts.

Question 4

What does the CladScore mean?

Accepted Answer

A 0–100 resilience rating. 90+ is Ironclad (42 careers), 60–89 Cushioned, under 60 Exposed (0 careers). It is a starting point, not a probability of job loss.

Question 5

Are salaries and growth figures live?

Accepted Answer

No. They come from an illustrative catalogue in USD and are not linked to a live labour-market feed. Check local sources before deciding.

Question 6

How do I read the trade matrix?

Accepted Answer

Each career page plots six factors — pay ceiling, resilience, growth, entry barrier, physical demand and green relevance. Wider means stronger, but entry barrier and physical demand are costs. A plain-English verdict sits beside the chart.

Question 7

Does it apply to my country?

Accepted Answer

Skills and task insights travel well; pay, licensing and training routes vary. Treat figures as relative comparisons.

Question 8

How are pivot suggestions chosen?

Accepted Answer

We favour roles that share your exact skills, then the same sector, and only suggest roles at least as resilient as your current one (minimum 60).

Question 9

My job is “Exposed”. What now?

Accepted Answer

Treat it as a planning signal. Open your role page, look at “Where it can lead”, and compare training time and cost for the nearest options.

Question 10

Can I build income outside employment?

Accepted Answer

The Independent paths section compares seven models — from service businesses to acquisitions — by barrier, time to cash, scalability and risk.

Question 11

My career is not listed.

Accepted Answer

Search by a skill or task instead of a job title, or browse the nearest sector. The catalogue grows over time.

Question 12

Who writes the journal?

Accepted Answer

The 5 guides are editorial adaptations of original research notes, with unsourced claims removed.

Question 13

What data do you keep about me?

Accepted Answer

None tied to you. Only your light/dark preference is saved, on your own device.

Question 14

How do I switch to dark mode?

Accepted Answer

Use the sun/moon control in the header: Light, Dark or System (follows your device).

Question 15

How do I contact DeepClad?

Accepted Answer

DeepClad is designed to be self-serve: the Help centre and these FAQs cover every feature. There is no support inbox.
